The 9th International Conference on Equine Infectious Diseases (EID IX) will be October 21-26, 2012, in Lexington, Kentucky. The conference is hosted by the University of Kentucky's Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center, a UK Ag Equine Program.
The five-day conference will feature morning plenary sessions covering infectious and parasitic diseases of the respiratory, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and nervous systems. There will also be workshops on specific disease agents, immunology, and diagnostics and special sessions focusing on emerging and re-emerging diseases, disease surveillance and outbreak managements, drug resistance, and genomic studies of equine pathogens.
The conference will also feature a Practitioner's Day on October 21, 2012 targeted toward local equine veterinarians and featuring some of the most significant findings to be presented at the conference.
