Dr. Stacy Tinkler is the Head of Veterinary Services at The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland. Prior to her current post, Stacy worked in large animal internal medicine and equine ambulatory practice at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine since 2011. She has dedicated part of her professional life to working equid volunteer veterinary projects through the Equitarian Initiative for many years and has a passion for international veterinary medicine.  Stacy has a particular interest in sustainable veterinary and para-veterinary program development and community education dedicated to working equids and their caregivers in partner communities in Latin America, which is where her appreciation and love for donkeys and mules began.

Corinne is a Certified Horse Behaviour Consultant with the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants (IAABC), and is an ABTC Registered Accredited Animal Behaviourist. She possesses an MA in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Animal Behaviour from the University of Exeter.

Corinne has been with The Donkey Sanctuary since 2017. First joining as a volunteer at Town Barton Farm, as well as in the Volunteers Office, she quickly moved over to join the New Arrivals Unit as a permanent member of the team. In 2018, Corinne progressed to the new role of Behaviour Assistant and in 2022 she was promoted to the role of Equine Behaviourist. Corinne works to support several of our farms teams, including Brookfield, the Rehoming Units, the Hospital, Slade House Farm, Paccombe and DAA Manchester. She also works on equine behaviour research within the team, most recently publishing a case study on a novel rearing method for orphaned foals.

In 2004, Sarah graduated from Plymouth university with a degree in animal science (behaviour and welfare). Her professional career at The Donkey Sanctuary began as a training centre assistant and she has since held roles as a laboratory technician and research assistant. Sarah is a registered science technician and member of The Royal Society of Biology. Her interest in animal behaviour is demonstrated through her provisional membership as an animal behaviour technician (ABT) with the association of pet behaviour counsellors (APBC). Sarah has recently completed an advanced diploma in applied animal behaviour management with a distinction and is now pursuing a master’s degree in animal welfare, policy and legislation, to further expand her expertise in the field of animal welfare.
